Recommendations re COVID safety for our church community:
Omicron is a highly contagious variant of COVID-19. Rapid tests may or may not detect this variant, but the PCR test reliably catches the Omicron variations. Omicron’s spikes have evolved to reduce vaccine/booster effectiveness. We see a surge in COVID cases daily in MN and in USA. If not yet, please get boosted asap. Thankfully, this variant is less severe, but is also highly transmissible. Even if we do get infected, it is important that we don’t all catch it at once. Please take precautions, keep social distance, and have good PPE when out and about.
