CrossTalk on Community Housing, this Friday March 26 at 8p via Zoom
Our church-based community housing is designed not only for togetherness, joy and healing, but to provide basic dignity. The residents share almost everything so as to reduce cost of living, and to live simply and frugally rather than coping with consumerism. Scientists warn that even more dangerous viruses could be unleashed in the future. How will we live if the next one is even more contagious, deadly, and takes 2 to 3 years to develop a vaccine? While living in community is no panacea for all our ills and comes w many problems inherent to the model, it’s also proven to be a very effective tonic from the toxicity of capitalism, competition, materialism and individualism. Hope to see you on the call!
Easter Egg Hunt, Sunday, April 4, 12:30pm-1:30pm!
Weather permitting, we will continue our annual tradition of hunting for eggs but with a slight twist. To help keep social distance there will be 4 designated egg hunt areas around the church. When families arrive, they will be directed to an available area for children to hunt for eggs. We’ll reset the hunt for each group! To make sure we prepare enough eggs please sign up using this Google form: https://forms.gle/umfg686tMBPpSdec7. Thank you!
