Advent book project for the nursery
Our nursery needs a book refresh! This Advent you’re invited bless our littlest ones with a gift. To contribute, take an ornament from the tree at back of sanctuary and return the book to the wrapped box under the tree- or ship directly to church, using Amazon Wish List. (Search CAN Nursery Wish List.) Many titles also at Barnes & Noble. Thanks for providing great books for our kids!
New art “She Wore Green Velvet” on display in central staircase thru Jan.
In his latest work, “She Wore Green Velvet,” our own Erik Olson portrays the Mississippi watershed as Mother Earth. Chemicals cause the land to look like green velvet when viewed from above. These poisons flow into our waterways, wrapping Mother Earth—and countless lives—like a death shroud.
